Invitations and YOUR Wedding

One of the first things your guests will receive for their wedding is the invitation. Your invitation is really your wedding's 'first impression'. It will give your guests an idea of what to expect. So, this is your chance to create that feel. There are many great resources for your invitations and I won't go into all of them, except to say that do some research, look at lots of designs, and find one that fits what you are looking for. You can order all-inclusinve invitation suites where each piece (invite, response, table numbers, escort cards) all match each other. Or, there are great resources at your local craft store, or www.paper-source.com where you can DIY and save some money. For Nicole and Todd's wedding I'm planning this fall they chose to go with an actual wood invitation. This is my new favorite thing. The invitation is laser engraved into beetle kill wood which makes this an eco-friendly option. The RSVP and envelopes are coordinating wood veneer that can be written on. I love that each piece coordinates with the Tree symbol. They are taking that through their wedding with small tree magnets with their initials as part of their favors.
